i guess my previous post would seem offensive to friends around me...

but i feel it's time to rethink my purpose of my blog...

does my blog exist just for posting pictures of parties? posting what i do daily? go where eat, meet who? complain and scold people?

eventually i grew to realise that i want my blog to be a place to share my views...

as always, any topic regarding the discussion of religion and practises, especially the ones by christians are always heated up... so when i post views on religion, will that make me insensitive and selfish? if my previous post offended u, i apologise for the insensitivity, but not the contents of the post...

this shall be my last post for this blog, until when i find a purpose for it...

my grandma passed away on saturday... tears and sorrows filled our entire family... but my heart was dampened even more when i think of what's gonna happen to her unsaved soul...

it's every Christian's responsibility to spread his words... not because we're so stucked up, but WE WANT TO SAVE U and we want U TO BELIEVE that u're going to heavens not hell... often non-believers will reject hearing the gospel or going to the church.. but why? is it cause they're afraid to know, or is their own religion keeping themself from hearing and learning? to me it's a personal choice... a personal choice that we choose what to believe in, and have a intimate relation with who u believe in...

most chinese believe in that doing good deeds will bring them to heavens... but when your love one pass on, u carry out rituals and offer incense and burn inscense to: bring their souls down so they dun become missing souls wondering around, give them food and money to spend down there. but have anyone asked this question before, if u think u have done enough good deeds in your present life, why will u think that you will go to hell? when they burn incense and paper, u're saying that your mum/love one is in hell isnt it? or are people just afraid about life after death? that's why alot of them are afraid their love ones got nothing to eat, nowhere to go, no money to spend? it really stands out when i see these rituals and practises being carried out at the funeral. although i won't stop it cos i respect their rights and religion, but i cant bring myself to agree... everything seems so illogical and so man-made....

a religion should be about worshipping God, and following his words... shouldnt be man-made rules ahhhhhhhhh... a funeral should be for the Living, not for the Dead... it's should be one which celebrate's the person's homecoming to heavens, not fearing that the person suffers in hell... if he/she goes to heaven, we dun have to worry about him not eating, him not living well, him not happy. cos in heavens, God provides everything and human needs shall be gone.

anyway these r just my thoughts.. wun defy their practise la. jus keep quiet and let them do their practises.

for my on job experience for a month...
another uncertainty to where i'll go... maybe nee soon maybe mandai maybe kranji.. anyway i heard inside news that i will be posted to HQ Ammunition Command. no idea what is it, but heard it's not going to be a good place to go. and it's in Bukit Timah. kill me. haha. transport's gonna be a hassle again~~~

got lots to do in these few weeks.
learn driving. design n print tee for my batch. help out with a army safety seminar as props ic. apply for Nus architecture. Trying to organise meetings and meetings for glowing commitee...

this year's gonna be a different year..

was home early so was chatting online and wasting time on the com. den vivian called to ask for a favor to do her logo for proj. so the v-free-me agreed. after drawing for abt half an hour, got message. from my camp friend. and he ask me question about the test on 28.

guess what. it's 28 the next day (today). and i HAVENT touch my notes! it's actually weapon test. 4types of weapon and study.

waha. panic. but it's mcq lah. anyway, drew finish. so i chiong and scan and color and send to vivian. color anyhow splash. and sorry vivian. this designer of yours got no time to edit details. whaha.

jus had the test today. nothing much lah. maybe can get full marks . cos only mcq.

WHAT A TIRING CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hahaa... tiring is Good though! really had a super COMBO Christmas 07... from madness rehearsals for the musical to the performance to the carolling at wisma, and Singapore General Hospital and attended the shockingly wonderful performance by the Hwa Chong Voicea at the Fullaton Hotel and lastly, countdown at clark quay with mad people!

And a EVEN MORE TIRING NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!

i am NOT complaining! hahaa.. from steamboat at shijia's house with ytss people, to countdown in CHURCH (QBC) to essencial brews at holland V and overnight at iz;s house with 30plus people! the next morning was branch and ah ma daniel twinkle willa cosina chiong'ed straight to my house for Mahjong Marathon!!!!!!!!

ended with a cool game of pool!!!!!! phew.

yes. this is tiring!

jus came back from the 'SUPERHEROES CAMP'!!!! this year's camp was reli different from last time. alot alot alot o unfamilar faces and faces that we seldom talk to in church. so reli thank God for this chance to have the combined eng-chi congregation youth camp!

although wasnt reli in a mood to go for camp cos quite tired, but it turned out pretty well. although the FOOD-SUCKED... hhaha. the games they came up with r nice lah. expecially the UNDERGROUND CHURCH... reli challenging and shiok. although the game benefits the police. and we got chased out from the rubbish chute area by the uncle... hahaa! cos at the corner of the sch is a hut for rubbish. so we hid outside that (no smell and no dirty water of course) and used empty carts to block. the uncle was like OIE!!!! BU KE YI AH!!!! WO HUI PEI MA DE!!!!! CU LAI CU LAI!!!!! wahsaha.a... poor us.

i shocked myself. as u guys know i got a frac on my right feet right. although it got better, but still hurts if i walk too much. but YST! I SPRINTED!!!!! RUN!!!!! hahaa.... cos nd to excape from police. and i was shocked i can run. but i tasted the consequences at night when my right feet became swollen and i was limping everywhere.. heee. still dun regret running....

glad to know a few more eng. side people. hahaa. expecially the pika and chee kuay people. dam hiliarious. i wun forget. introducing the NEW!!!!!! mc-CHEE KUAY and the shaker-CHAI PO!

no idea why, but i think i'm tooooo blessed. hee. u'll hate me, but i got to say. my army life is seriously SLACK!

why?
1. i got oot (out of training) cos of fractured foot. ok this is not fortunately. but jus u wait.)
2. i got posted to O.et.i (ordnance engineering). which is what they said to be heavens in SAF...cos 8-5 stay out camp!
3. wore no.4 the first week but after going for a medical appointment the doc scolded me and banned me from wearing boots until my operation ( means i got to wear civilian every single day.)
4. help my wingsm do stuffs, in return he granted me alot alot alot of off... 5.5days. almost doubled my friends.. cos i in charge of designing and executing the old notice board, boards etc. hee.
5. applied my leave from 14-24, and if u add up the off, today is 7th (my second off day) all the way until 11 i go back for 1.5 days, and off again , den overlap leaves, until christmas! woohoo! haha....
6. now u know why "God is Good!" hee.... my army friends complain la. say why i ns so shiok. wear cv. 8-5. so many leave......

okok to calm u down after 26dec when my course starts i will resume back to normal. wear no.4 cos nd to handle weapons lo. but to warn u, maybe i will have a 6mth break after my operation in end feb(maybe operation to remove my fractured bone). HeH....

sooooo sorry! quite long never update.. reason being i returned to TEKONG after my chheckup at CGH and was super sian. den kena oot there.... rot there for 2 weeks as a useless oot (Out Of Training) cos i cant help them move thing... so everyday stay in company office and pick up phone calls, read papers.....

the worse is yet to come. at the second week was my company's fieldcamp, and i am the last OOT left.. haha. meaning i have to stay in the company ALL ALONE. with the COS ( Company Orderly Sergeant)... sleeping was uneasy at the first few days. having to face 11 empty bumk beds and the irritating birds outside the window in the darkness... for 6 freaking DAYS!

got my new posting at the second last day of their fieldcamp... i''m posted to OETI (ordnance engineering training institude) as a Armourtech technician.... super relieved to not kena BMTC! hahaa.... and it's also a stay out camp... have to attend a 3month course.

the first day was really shocking. everyone seem so nice and relaxed there.. nothing like tekong.it's HEAVEN! ahaha..... and before my course (Small Arms) start in dec 26, we're aux staff. all a aux staff has to do is stay inside a air con room one entire and wait for someone to come in and ask for help. haha...

so basically now i'm enjoying life. except having to wake up at 530 everyday. can DIE. really a challenge.

oh forgot to add. yst went got medical appointment my doc was shocked that i wear no.4 and ask me not to wear boots. haha. so everyday wear civilian go . :P

haha. update on my leg. it's concluded that it's a fracture, on the extra bone.

SOMETHING's FISHY!

realised i've never posted anything about my fishes before, haha so i should let u guys see my "preciousssss....." wahahhahaa........

FIRST: my arowana... Red Tail Gold Qian Hu Arowana.......

bought it before i entered Ns... and this fella jumped out of the tank and almost scared me to death. super heart pain!!!! it's ex lah! wahaha...

secondly: my 2 pieces of Stingray!... P.Reticulata also known as 'teacup'ray....

also burnt a huge hole in my pocket when i got it yesterday.... but didnt regret cos it's really good quality pieces... got one male and one female...

super worried about them cos i read online that people have tried and FAILED keeping them! so really a challenge for myself and my pocket.. haha...

so now when i'm home-bound, the only thing i can look forward is people coming to my house for mahjong all the way!!!! wahhaa.. so guys... do come up for mahjong whenever u're free!!!!

also will take time off to do some paintings while i'm home!

this tuesday will be going to the specialist for checkup of my fracture.....................

hey guys, i'm back in singapore, but not for a reli good reason...

i fractured my right feet! during combat physical training... was doing verticals den my right leg didnt land properly and sprain, and left leg tripped over and stepped on e sprain.

initially thought was jus a bad sprain den i was super sian cos i dun wanna get excused for training again. den the medical officer sent me for x-ray.... den:

MO: oh look at your beautiful FRACTURE!

me: HUH?!

MO: ok immediate A&E

me: NOW?!

den i was back to singapore... changi hospital and got my feet in temp cast...

got 2 weeks of attend C den will have to see the specialist (hopefully he dun give me more mC)

meanwhile, all i have to do is rot at home~

wahahaaa... hi civilisation! i'm back! wahaha... finally 2 weeks passed... i should say it flies cos we almost repeat thingd again and again. everyday wake up 530 and slp at 1030.... keep waking up in e middle o e night, sometimes dreaming and wake up thinking i'm at home sia. den will get e "huh" and "diao" feeling. wahaha. but dun worry guys, i'm never LATE! hahaa... cos i have human alarms around! whahaa...

Thank God for my section mates.... really a blessing to be in section 4 cos section 1 has a ah beng, has a et, has a blur ic, section 2 has a gay (who said openly he HATES girls=immediate outcast... sad guy), section 3 has a DA PAO jason (yes same name as me) but he's known as e bad jason o course... always boast and think he dam big, but does nothing except talking and DA PAO'ing.... section 4, is e more on people! hahaa.....

today before bookout we had a standby area, and section 1 got 40pushups, section 2 got 30, section 3 got 20, and section four got ZERO! hahaa... cos e fact we're e only section who pulled EVERTTHING out and clean.... bed go dismantle and clean every single edge and wood pole, locker drag out and clean, fan and lights clean zillion o times.... this is the first time i clean a place for so0ooo long.... cleaned the place yesterday night and today morning. extreme......

super happy to be back. but dun worry guys i wun emo when i go back. haaaa... cos it's jus 5days and i'll be home again!

ok gotta spend my 2day bookout fruitfully!

hello~ i'm finally posting again!

this time, chao sian de... not super salty, but super SIAN.... feels like gonna go in JAIL! wahahaa...

oh for those who don't know yet ( u r super outdated), i am going in SEPTEMBER 14, which is 2 days away... friday morning 930am.....

don't really feel scared cos i kena these kinda s**t before in NCC for four years before, but this time it's different la. ncc camp max 5 days. this one is 3months! followed by one year plus...

thanks to everyone who sent their best wishes ah~ i'll try to come back in one piece, of course, with a big botak head! wahaha.....

hmm... a few things that i will miss... crapping w glowers, listening to my mum and dad complain, scolding my bro for messing up my room AGAIN, going fishing with my indian friend SUNESH (who i cant c at night), tking cr of my fish (praying that it will nt jump out and die), sleeping and waking up at 2 everyday... yep i guess this is it ba...

really hope to be a God's servant inside la... to really show what's e diff between a christian and a non... hope to have energy still everyday to do quiet time...and praying hard for a christian buddy who is not sucky! wahaha...

looking forward to c my transformation in life routine la. although it's gonna be a sian and regular one for the next 2 years... and also hopefully no much changes to the world outside! wahahaa.... i'll come out every sat and sun as a country pumpkin... hahaha..

hey i'm finally posting... cos forced by xiwen... have alot to blog about recently but abit too much stuffs and dam lazy to type. but anyway here r some of the updates

-bought a super expensive arowana last week, and it jumped out of the tank 4 days after and hurt it's own fins... SUPER HEARTPAIN. but it's recovering well... jus hoping that it will eat well...

-have started my slacking times and it seems like i got too much of things not done yet... nd to finish them before i enter NS!

-have been going FISHING! wahaha.. become uncle le. but it's kinda relaxing and nice views too! although i havent caught a fish yet!

-playing pool too alot these days !!!

DAY TWO~

spent the day without buying anything and paying for anything! except for singing K!

started off the day singing at CEO(hk's karoke) with k lunch... mt up with wugui's aust hk friends den went to sing.. quite fun!

den afterthat went to xing guang da dao and see the cityskyline and also took alot o wacky photos!

next stop was shopping at the shopping centre beside the xing guang da dao and i aimed at a 200buck evisu shoe! oh no! haha... see how. if i still like it asfter 2 days den i will get, i think. hhaa..

mt up with wugui's parents and had dinner at "dong hai restaurant" beside the xing guang da dao! super good canto food... the best was the "xie fen xiao long bao" and the "abalone feng zhua"! super full lah. super good food at a v high class restaurant! every single dish seem to be dam ex. huge tanks to wugui's parent

after that went to watch a "buddha light china show" which i saw the "qian shou guan ying" performance!!! good show, but i almost fell asleep halfway!!!

super hot siah. walk abit den sweat like crazy

the contrast here v big... either u see lok kok auntie uncles or super punk rock teenagers, either old-until-want-to-collaspe buildings or new high buildings!!!!

went to a 13 storey shopping centre jus now. super tall and with super long escalator that goes 5storeys!!!!!!! and the whole building u travel from level to level in a spiral with short steps intervals! interesting siah. this shows how important shopping is to hk'ers!!!!

went to celebrate ka tai's birthday jus now at causeway bay.. super alot o people lah. and super alot o shops!!!! went to walk ard the label shops there and got my brownie monogram! but only can take next week...

went for steamboat to celebrate ka tai's birthday! super good food and quite cheap!!!! super funny lah... ka tai started his birthday with two nice phrases!
1.wa so cool right? i throw the meat in never splash!
2. oie u sure u dun want to save your stomach for the... er.. deSert? (sha muoh~)

and after that i took the mtr home ALONE (and i made it)

BUT!

it was dam hard.

when i reach the place supposed to take mini van, the service ended. so i decided to take the 20buck taxi home. den i got onto the taxi and said WO-TA-LOU-TO SAN... expectedly the uncle didnt understand me. den i said english waterloo hill, which is worse he dun understand eng. den i said MAN FOK TOH. he again dun understand. but i pronounce correct siah. in e end he like talking to a person over his earpiece (WHEN HE DIDNT EVEN CALL).......... brought me to a ulu place and ask me where to go . den i huh. i called wugui and she told the uncle. den he again talk to his earpiece. den OH!. brought me home.

in e end i spent 40 bucks on cab. double. but at least i got back

BUT

when i reach wugui house got another challenge.

NEED TO CONVINCE THE SECURITY GUARD THAT MY FRIEND LIVES HERE.

i go - oh ka peng yao ju gao loh B hoh. EXPECTEDLY, he huh.

waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. the wait is finally over!

tomorrow will be flying to hk! zong yu wor..... ahaha..

dam exhausted day. although was supposed to slack but these two days seemed so packed. yst spent a freaking 5 hours at IRA to get my passport.. thanks to youth day. the ira seemed to be filled with children and their parents. argh. and i didnt want to go today cos it will be too last minute to do one day before and i dun wanna have any risk/obstacles against my trip! . so in e end,

i wasted 5 hours.....................................................

today was all about getting my tank all set up, cleaned them, super dirty cos i was working and had no time.. cleared my landscaped tank.. hee.. getting it ready for dragon fish aka arowana... gonna spend about 400 on one nice one which i fall in love for (hopefully) ... after my hk trip!

alright. need to get lost liao. aunt gonna pick me up to her place and stay in 3 hours and i havent pack.

it's 12 more days to "losing my job". heh...

recently have alot o interests on orchids. realised they're really interesting plants. real delicate beauty. yet they're not as high maintenance as it seems "leh." keeping 2 in my office right now. haha have a nice quote for one

helloo... it's 0430am. am i'm still awake. cant believe after working for 14hours (9am-11pm) i am still awake at this hour. lol

was rushing for a proj e entire wk and yst today was the marathon. heee.

had fun though doing the entire photoshop slideshow which i quite like what i did for em. although ppt reli sucks when u're doing design. cos it doesnt adjust properly and u'll get unalligned stuffs. still. it worked out fine! haa. and also did a template and my ang mo colleague commented it was "sexy"... oh btw my ppt to him was "flashy"!. ahaa. funny terms right.

had alot o challenges at work these few days. but all was good. more challenges more accomplishments rite.

finally i am doing something to my blog and not going to blogskins.com and get em. realised the skins r reli "overdesign'..... i think one thing i learnt alot while working is to design, but dont overdo it....

how to jump from a student who overdoes designs to a "professional design" . something reli interesting to challenge yourself.

OH. btw i'm quitting my job soon. although it's alll good. good office good boss good beautiful toilet good colleague good food. still. i have to get my life back. haaaa.....

going into NS in sept. sooo. this is the time to have some time to myself before going to "jail"

gonna end work at this end of the month... and i'm flying~(litterally) to hk! 4th-13sept. and maybe somemore trips after that. hee....

Happy Easter Everyone!

After a long weekend really experienced alot from people and things happening around me!

Over this busy week and weekend, from busy and stress at work and busy in church,

i saw the difference of doing something important and doing something meaningful....

Work: you're paid to work and you are supposed to finish tasks within a period of time.. when u're done with one task, another comes.. there's no ending to the things on hand to do... and the things will always seem important to u... but today finish , tomorrow comes another "important thing"..... have you wondered how many "important" things are so easily forgotten and forsaked? work is a constant but where's the meaning of putting everything u have on work?

when it's only a cycle of aimless busy-ness?

Church: soemthing that might seem important to me but a boring place to you..... is it only a MUST go place on sunday? "Why U SO HOLY?!" people will ask... but hey i go church not to be holy, but just to worship and no matter how tiring/packed/boring the stuffs can be, it's really enjoyable.... worship can be as simple as quieting yourself down and pray to Him...

Alot o people hate Christians who go on streets and"force people to believe" and alot o christians hate to go on Street E.... (right?)

As a person that was borned a non-christian , i truly saw and experience the difference and understand the controversy of Street Evangelism......

There're alot o mis-conceptions about Christians spreading the word... cos there're simply people doing it the wrong way... and u know sometimes bad news travell faster good ones?

Street Evangelism is simply telling someone about the Good news of christianity, the right way!

so maybe if you're disturbed by how a stranger comes up to u and say stuffs that make u feel bad about christianity, why nt go up to one good christian friend and let him/her change your view?

And for christians who hate Street E, maybe u're just not ready yourself to spread the word? i was once there before and i know the feeling of approaching strangers and having nothing to say... so u know what u should do le right?

you sow the seeds, and God will harvest it~

WORK WORK WORK WORK WORK!

super busy week... no idea why but i quite enjoy being this busy..maybe cos it's just a few months and not a permenant thing.. and i got no idea how come all the "LOBANGS" suddenly rush to me.. Thank God.. he knew i was bored.

this week i super multi task...

i'm having 3seperate jobs this week, and another full time job next week... meaning total FOUR JOBS.

1. Model Making for my teacher's company.not alot o money, but quite fun and can do at home.. easy money!

2. Part time (4days work) in my ex-intern company.... (got a story to tell)

3. Site survey job, also freelance, site visit and do autocadd, super gd money!

4. serious job for 4mths at a well known landscape firm in California.

Today finished my 4days work at my old company... God. Thanks for giving me the strength to go through it. although i had a super fun time with my colleagues and boss, but one thing which test our paitence every single day. PARROT.

my dear boss has an African Grey parrot. known for being the smartest animal around, this animal is reli one EVIL SMART ASS. haha. i guess all of us liked it's company cos it's friendly and cute,but now that it's almost a year old, it LEARNT HOW TO FLY.

(fly still nvm. but at least dun fly to our heads la.)

he likes to flap around the office and disturb us... so all of us will prepare before boss open the cage. CAPS ON!.... haa. everyone wears a cap so the parrot doesnt scratch our heads...

(BUT!)

yst he learnt how to ATTACK.

i was just doing my work and he flies to the high high self infront o my desk and makes alot o noise. i think he's bored la. so decides to disturb me again (cos my desk at the open space den he likes to fly there.) he flaps and i use my arm to protect my face. HE LANDS on my hand. nvm, i thought quite fun. and he kept flying away and come back.

(DEN!)

he lands on my hand, (with his sharp sharp claws clung on my flesh),

HE BITE ME.

and u guys know. parrots are known for their BEAKS right?

first bite ok. he nibble. second bite he THUGS and BITE.

(DAM PAIN).

ouch ouch ouch. den i walk and show boss how he is biting me (while the parrot is still biting me)

after i put him away, i think he enjoys "playing", so he keep charging towards me.

i siam, he lands, turn and charge again.

(super tired)

and my hands are scratches and bruised because of his "play"

went home and thought (shit. tml how)

and (I GOT JACKET LA. with it at least i got protection)

BUT!

although i thought i had protection when he landed on my hand today, he bite first time no feeling, he not shuang. bite harder.

HE BIT THROUGH THE JACKET!

and the strange thing is, although his bites are pain but it doesnt bleed, it swells up so badly.... wondering if it's infection cos his beak not clean.

today he keep disturbing us. cos when he flies all of us will siam and keep a lookout for him so super not productive....

and Thank God! today my LAST DAY!

went to the nike air force one anniversary show again at clarke quay this time to get the air force one Gold and Silver Players edition shoes..

and i won the limited edition Air Force 25 League Pack consisting of 3 new air force one shoes... took part in a "lucky draw quiz" which CR gave me the answer to the quiz which i knew nuts about, and Xiwen asked me to go and change my answer when she knew the correct answer again, and got picked to compete in a challenge.. among 6 people competing, Daniel, Kahei and myself got chosen...

and the challenge was to name players and their teams in the limited time.. know what. the players are ALL BLACKS and they look the same to me. except for leborn, kobe, tony, the rest were alien to me lah. so peeped at the guy beside me who was chao pro. he got 15 correct out of 20, and me and ka hei got 8correct each... but there can only be two winners, so ka hei and me gotta compete for the second place.... knowing that i'll confirm lose cos i do not study basketball except having chats with my bro whenever we watch any basketball matches together..

the first question was to name the player who won the most NBA championship before... instantly i knew the ans: KOBE BRYAN (obviously) and ka hei got it too...

the second question was to name the second player who won the most NBA champs. (this won was a sure die.) so both me and ka hei turned and look at the boards with the players names... and i told myself to follow instinct and choose the player who i heard the most times before. and i chose Tony Parker,

and i won.

my challenge boards, the air force 25 league packs, and 2 airforce one players shoe that i bought! Gotta thank everyone there man... dun wry guys. i will not forget the treat... and most imptly, thank God!

Just finished the Programme Card for Glowing from Feb till April..

dunno why suddenly thought alot about friends and our future today... .maybe cos today's the last official school day and we've no more commitments to Singapore Poly already... everyone's gonna go to into their different apects of lives and we might not be seeing each others ever again.. haha... quite sad right people? but guess that this is the way of life.. everyone has gotta let go of somethings and grab hold of others... move on yea?

i think the topic among all my pals would be "hey what u gonna do next".. have you got your answer? if not i think u gonna reli decide for yourself soon already... not easy right... i think it's really amazing how God brought everyone to this stage of life... and now it's gonna be us and just us to choose our paths of lives... all e best guys!

while doing the glowing card it occured to me that how glowing is a blessing to all of us glowers... it's not just a fellowship of people coming together to worship...yes it is, but still it's about the eternal relationship.. no matter what's your age, where u go, army or overseas, we'll stay as one fellowship and this fellowship.... really thankful for that and all the joy it brings...

yeah really thank God for giving me the strength to hold on for this project submission and project submission!!!!!!

had a final year project submission last friday and had my presentation this morning!

this time the guest was from Sila board and the presentation went quite smoothly although the interption from zai and malcom... greatly unappreciated! wahahaaa

anyway real happy that through this project i was really able to beat my own limits and create something exceeding my capabilities... really super relieved that it's over and it's time to move on.

went to chill out with rain fern alvin dennis at vivo... had a crazy time wasting outing! (at least now we got chance to WASTE TIME AND SLACK)

thank the Lord! had a super fufilling day again!

was recording in balestier today... for a radio station that caters for Christians..

although this time round the recording studio isnt as grand and beautiful as the previous "parvia recording studio" but i had so much fun lah... maybe cos the people r diff... cos this time round it's with all glowers and our dao shi.. den only one very helpful uncle... which allowed us to hop around and played during the recording... without making a sound of course.... we also had a free jammimg session at the studio when we took a break.. sang "wan wang zhi wang"-which means king of kings in chinese! with polly on e drums, lydia on e piano, and tommy on guitar! (unbelievable? believe it!)

everyone was so high... drums so loud, piano full blast tommy strumming so hard and me zhiyang kahei singing our lungs off!

in e end?! we almost spoilt the $5000 bucks MIKE!

cos in e recording studio they use ultra sensative mikes... den when the drums and everything blasting, and the mike wasnt off! (his fault ah?) haha... anyway it's ours lah... cos we forgot... den the mike went sot sot... suddenly will not pick up some voice...

everyone so scared that it'll spoil... but thank God lah.. let the mike recover from the shock, off it awhile while we took a break den can sing liao~ waha.

the recording experience was so damm fun~ again it's not about the place and about the thing we do... i think it's the people we're with.... the seven hours of recording seemed so fast...

it'll be played on e radio soon.. will post the station no. and the timings later...

oh yar thank God for allowing my throat to heal also.. went to sing 5hours of k with banana and wugui yst and sang until sore throat.. but it healed in a few hours! or else confirm kena from zhiyang! went to watch deathnote2 also yst... super unpredictable show la... time to look for the comic and read!

waha! after so much God's grace finally 2007 is here.. got so much to give thanks for in 2o06... reli cant put them to words... but i believe this new year is one which i reli appreciate everyone around me and thank God the most.. reli can feel the love from God... this december holiday can be one which is the most memorable... so much have happened and so much have changed!

from a small idea and a not-so-big church... the aspiration went soaring with God's blessings... it went onto a rollercoaster ride into NUS university cultural centre performing stage...many nights of practises and scoldings again and again... it all boiled dowm into a night of God's magic and joy... true bondings ... it taught many the meaning of performing and serving... AMEN!

Aloha loyang chalet! this year's Glowing Camp's alot more "homely"... through this camp i felt that the rain that kept us indoors for 3days actually made us bond and appreciate each other more... during the thanksgiving... reli made me think alot about God's grace in all of us.. the things that we pray and put into his hands, and how He plans our path for all of us... everyone's got something to thank for ... everyone's got a story to tell about Christ... it's not about the religion.. it's the relationship...

through the camp it made me think alot about direction of life.. what's the ultimate passion of life.. so instead of going in circles about a unknown reality, i'll rather pursue God and let him lead the way... already wasted alot o years already in blindness...lets honour him and direct ourselves into him... Amen...

had a crazy time counting down in Qbc after the thanksgiving... first time that we had such havoc time in Qbc.. it really felt like a concert and a celebration... but substituted with the songs which praised and honoured God... and also sincere prayers and quiet times... it truly brings out the way how we can still have fun like others, the Christ way!

to everyone who think i purposely missed sch cos i think i'm too good for it. i had a church musical and had no choice but to miss the crits on last thurs and friday due to the full rehearsal and the musical itself... and perhaps a kind reminder to "living nightmare".. the fact that almost all my friends that know me well knew i had no choice but to miss crits, it's easy to spot who u are la... anyway no point in guessing who is it la.. but i really have to post a question... what's e defination of proud? when u think u're too good and go around showing off? when u mock at people and refuse to help? maybe this tag is jus another reminder to me... but hey.. i didnt hao lian... i didnt post on my blog that "no matter what u think of me, i'm number one and proud to say it" right.. haiz... real dissapointed that one of my friend actually comes to my blog and leaves a poison tag...

Fa Cai Ah!!!!!!

if u guys have been reading the newspaper u might come across this article of aunties and uncles rushing to collect FA GAOS and offer Incense in a particular market..... and take a guess and u know that it's my parents market in AMK 453...

apparently, there's this altar set up at the side of the market for people to offer incense... it's been there for quite long but not that much people visit it... until one fine day when i realised they made another fenced up box (cage la) at the side... den a few weeks later there's this Tua Pei Gong statue inside it... not long after they invited the lion dance for the opening of that... and the number showed by an arrangement of orange that the lion gave( apparently arranged by the lion dance person) came out that night for FIRST PRICE.

this is when the altar became sooooooooooo famous... people started to giv offering money and rush just to collect the freebies (fa gao and pork)...

see the transformation from a no-one-go altar to a die-die-must-visit.....

quite shocked by the crowd... it's really alot o people.... den i wondered to myself... so is this a good thing... by making people strike lottery and attract thousands of people to your altar, and giv offerings and of course getting the most important 4numbers..... in e end they lose much more...

feel like posting the question to them... so u're here to worship eh.... to worship or to ask for number.....

The Perth International Airport: nothing much there.. just good wide view of the sky and the grasslands.... and this is where all of us realised that aust. is FREEZING.

streets of australlia: very low and spacious layouts, saw alot o interesting buildings that were said to be influenced by french styles... up there, it's in Fremantle city where we stay!

our house! huge bungalow with a "Mod style interiors", huge garden at the back and a gigantic bathroom with bathtub with a view! nothing gets better than this......................

super tiring day ah. but had fun slacking n chatting... had good homemade food there too... although have too go tanjong beach to find glowers and back to palawan to find exclzmates, quite fun day in sentosa. took snaps when i walked back tp o palawan... it's sunset so had good views...

helped 2jap girls to snap pics w sunset... it's amazing how happy they can get when they c the pic... literally jumping and clapping and keep saying jap which i obviously dun understand...got loads of thank u's though...

sentosa's revamp proj seemed successful... amazed by the beach bus arrival centre... the plants n trees are..... EX to the core... imagine ONE bottle tree: $20 000 k...about there la. one phoenix can easily go to $10000... go n count yourself how many there are lor... sentosa is a big spender k...

though the monorail's gone, which is a waste la... but the revamp does do it justice la... the construction of the new palawan beach is completed.. good design good plantings... but the beach's still a lil dark in the evening... maybe the lighting effect can be more... but i think they pretty drained all the budget so it's a good job done!

spent a super fruitful week.... loads of money spent, loads of fun! this week's like a string of fun activities la... school break is jus so shuang! alright now nd to start packing for my perth trip... one week! i'll be BACK!

spent the entire day out...

start of assignment for ntu alumi... revamp redesign of e sucky landscape works...
going for perth trip so gotta earn some cash to save some money... lecturers got us a proj which was to redesign the ntu alumi centre @ bonia vista...didnt reli expect a lousy landscape works allthough the lecturers told us it was bad... when we got there. it reli sucked... no wonder they let us do it.. cos it was shockingly like a last minute work... wonder how much money they throwed into that unknown landscape consultant... shld go find out.. den warn people not to work there! anyway hope to redesign and let that landscape complement the nice architectural aspects there...

IT'S ALL OVER!!!

after a torturing ordeal it's finally over... just had presentation.. although it's silent cos it's a late submission, i still have pride in my creations

no matter how bad things might seem and occur, it's good to know that some things are just superficial.. so no point to brood over it... thinking too much may just make u sadder...

became super drama on last friday... but well it's good to be alone sometimes and quietly spend time with myself... sorry chun hai for looking for me up n down sp ah... hahaa...

anyway everything's over and done with.. had fun during the proj though... honestly speaking...this probably is the most hardworking i'd been for projs... so not guilty or regret!

Vietnam man handles three decades without sleep

As songbirds awaken the early risers at dawn on the farm, one resident is already up; in fact, he never slept – not once in the past 33 years.
You’d think going without sleep for that long may have its drawbacks, but not for the man in central Quang Nam province who has never been ill after decades of insomnia.

His inability to sleep has not only made him famous, but also represents a “miraculous” phenomenon worthy of scientific study.

Sixty-four-year-old Thai Ngoc, known as Hai Ngoc, said he could not sleep at night after getting a fever in 1973, and has counted infinite numbers of sheep during more than 11,700 consecutive sleepless nights.

“I don’t know whether the insomnia has impacted my health or not. But I’m still healthy and can farm normally like others,” Ngoc said.

Ngoc currently lives on his 5ha farm at the foot of a mountain busy with farming and taking care of pigs and chickens all day. His six children live at their house in Que Trung.

“I have tried sleeping pills and Vietnamese traditional medicine but nothing helps, even to sleep for a few minutes,” he said.

Creature of the night

Ngoc often does extra farm work or guards his farm at night to prevent theft, saying he used three months of sleepless nights to dig two large ponds to raise fish.

Neighbor Vu said Ngoc volunteered to help beat a drum during the night and guard the house for the relatives of the dead during funeral ceremonies so that they could take a nap.

Vu also said when the commune was planting sugar cane, several people also asked Ngoc to awaken them at midnight to go to work, since he was up anyway.

On Ngoc’s prolonged insomnia, Phan Ngoc Ha, director of the Hoa Khanh Mental Hospital in Danang said sleep disorders often cause anorexia, lethargy, and irritability.

But, in special cases, some people can handle it and still live and work normally, although this was a very small ratio among insomniacs, Ha added.

waha....went for dinner which in turn i left with an empty stomach cos everything was finished when i reached.. but guess it was the significance for being there! although "TaiMa" was puzzled when i ask her "wa-si-diang"(who am i)... so she just shoke her head innocently! haha... cant blame her too.. strange.. she only recognises me when i bring food/things over to their place in home clothes.. so maybe she recognise me as the "BoTak" that always bring things over!

she's blind... she's deaf... she's old... is that the end of her? was lazing in e living rm so checked what shows r on... came to a channel when i only saw subtitiles with no sound at all... thought it's soft but reli... there was not a noise and speech at all... jus the subtitiles... its abt her story... she's deaf since young... and God took her left eye away, den the left... she was in a world dark and quiet...

i was amazed.... saw how she took the vege to the basin, cleaned them, took out a wok, poured oil in it, flamed the wok and cracked 2 eggs in... think it's easy? try doing it with eyemasks and earplugs... it's amazing how she led life in a dark and silent world...

she has a mentor which was her guiding light.. and of course God... she led her to the schooll of the blind.. learning was twice as hard when she's double handicapped... she did it... has a cert from America and speaks english.. though the pitch is different but she speaks ENGLISH! and she's currently teaching disabled kids in the blind and deaf school....although she's blind but she actually has more acheivements than some of us abled people... she never blamed God for her disabilities... so should we instead?

always remember... God Never Give What We Cant Take...

Chanced upon salvador dali's work when i took his melting clocks as inspirations...and i found a load of his interesting works!

Talking about picasso, when i look at his paintings i go huh~ i know picasso got the RED and BLUE period.. but to me they look like abstract till cant abstract...

Salvador dali on the other hand, he paints images that actually reflect theories and his own views... lets check some of his drawings out!

Presenting the FAMOUS "The Persistence of Memory 1931-Persistencia 1931-"aka Melting Clocks

Here Dalí introduces his melted watches. He said that they are nothing else, but the Camembert cheese of space and time; tender, outlandish, solitary and critical-paranoiac. An interesting explaination how wonderful pieces of art dipicting deep thoughts and theories are actually derived from a nap, a clock and a piece of melted cheese!

besides the famous melting clock painting which dipict the theories of memories and time, Salvador Dali has continuations to his edition of melting clocks.. this is what i find fasinating about his art!

"The Disintegration of the Persistence of Memory-Desintegration'52"
“…After twenty years of immobility, the soft watches are themselves dynamically disintegrating...” Here, Dali broke the images of its famous painting “The Persistence of Memory” (1931). During the last twenty years the painter has been affected by the consequences of several wars, particularly by the destructive use of the nuclear energy.

Lastly: the end episode of the melting clocks- "Eplosion 1954"
This represents the idea of the dynamical disintegration of one of his most characteristic elements, the soft watch... it's interesting how the melting clocks began to "explode" in his continuing editions of the paintings... it's easy to see how the clocks reflecting the use of arms and nuclear issues that were brought up... quite a nice reflection of how artists get inspirations from current issues...
From a plate of cheese, a nap, and a wall clock... it was transformed by a pair of hands to a famous artpiece...And from the painting, after twenty years, the artist decides to continue the edition and created another contrast, disintergrating it... and yet the last explosion of the timepiece... slowly the political issues start to get in his paintings. Truly a great Artist and Artpiece as inspirations.. an a great lesson learnt.

havent been here for quite some time..

anyway have been coped up with slacking during proj i guess... had a wake up call from lecturers privately and it was like a hard knock on my head.. guess i reli slackened alot... they made a comparison between the hason in year one and the jason in year three.. reli made me feel very slack lah... i wasnt reli bothered by me turning late cos i know i will produce work even if i come in late.. but when they mentioned about my seriousness in year one, it sounded logical ah.. i was more focused on work in year one.. the focus and the passion... so i nd to show them my change... cant jus say... nd to show...

alot have happened in these year.. lotza things have changed.. and i guess i changed alot too... have to admit i lost focus from my proj and alot o things started to surface in life.. have been doing lot of guessing and trying... maybe jus a tonne of time and attention wasted... but i think it's e end of the guessings and trying lo.. maybe it's just the better way around...

got my new concept of my proj.. it blew steve(my lecturer) away... TIME...
